What was the Armor and Weponay that the  Mongols use?

it is believed by myslef that throught the mongol empire a large range of weapons and armor would have been used, this is thought, due to the mongols empire being built on multiple tribes and stratergies. the armor would have consisted of some sort of chain mail and perhaps some sor of a helmet covering the skull.

The mongols used many diffrent types of weapons and armor for all different purposes and reasons. from the simple bow an arrow to weapons like halberds, and on some occassions full body suits of armor. An example of this of weapons being used for diffrent purposes would be the comon composite bow. theought there many victories and triumphs the composite bow was used for killing enemies/, arfare, hunting for food, and when equiped with a special arrow would make a howling noise which would show the marching army which way to go.

The primary weapon used by the mongols army, consisted of an oddly curled sowrd and the common composite bow. however some of the higher ranking soldiers were luck enough to hav equiped themselves with an axe like weapon (or a halberd)

this was a saber given to the comon mongol trooper
originally it was designed to slash the victums.

these where known as halberds, and were mainly often
used by the wealthier soldier, they came i handy while riding horses as
the average length was roughly 6 feet tall and was
equiped with a double sided blade.

a similar version of what the mongols would have used.

this was actuall armor used throughout the mongol empire
and it seems as though the armor is made of a type of silk and a
leathery type material.

I believe that the reason for having such a light type of armor, is possibly for the fact that it would have given them the ability of being slightly more flexible. it is thought that some of the higher ranking soldiers such as the generals would have worn a more protective type of armor, such as metal plating across the chest or pehaps a chain mail of some sort.

in conclusion the Mongols used a large range of weapons and armors, from the simple slashing curve saber to compound bows.
